Wow – I’m bad at this blogging thing. I need to get into a rhythm or something.
Of course, I have zero attention span today. Game 7 of the Stanley Cup finals is tonight and my beloved Boston Bruins may win it all. I’m excited. I’m nervous. And I’m anxious for the game to just start already!
Let’s Go Bruins!!!!!!!
I met with a great home childcare provider today and I’m pretty jazzed about it. I really liked her and she and I had a lot of the same philosophies on childcare. Most importantly, I really like the unstructured environment she provides.
I understand that everyone has their own ideas about how to raise children, but I don’t think an infant needs to have his entire day scheduled. I think it’s more important to let him explore his environment and take your cues from the child. When he’s hungry, feed him. When he’s tired, put him down for a nap. When he’s playful, play with him.
Things will change as the little guy gets older. Eventually he’ll need some more structure to his day. But that can wait until preschool.
Right now I’m just happy that childcare is set. I still can’t believe that I’m going back to work next week, but that’s a different topic for a different day.
Who would’ve thought that finding childcare would be such a pain in the butt? Well, obviously I didn’t. I go back to work next week and I still need to find someone to watch my son two days a week. Oy.
Back to the phone calls. Somehow this will all work out, right?
I’ve been meaning to start a blog for a while. Funny how I never seemed to get around to it until now. I blog a bit for work, so it’s really about time that I start doing it for my personal life as well.
I have no clue what this blog will end up being about. But at least it’ll motivate me to write something, which is really my goal.
